- The United States Military consists of four Active Duty service branches: Army, Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps.
- Out of the almost 1.4 million Active Duty military personnel, 546,057 members belong to the Army. The next largest group is the Air Force with 328,812 members. There are 314,339 members of the Navy. Finally, the Marine Corps is the smallest of the branches and is comprised of 198,820 members.
